PACIFIC OCEAN BOOK NECKLACE

THE PUBLICATIONS OF THE SAKHALIN REGIONAL MUSEUM OF LOCAL LORE BECAME WINNERS AND LAUREATES OF THE CONTEST "THE BEST LOCAL LORE PUBLICATION-2021".

In September of this year, the Sakhalin Universal Scientific Library held the second regional exhibition and fair of publishing products "Pacific Book Necklace". The event was organized for the purpose of developing the region's reading infrastructure and strengthening the reading culture of the population. For three days Sakhalin residents could get acquainted with new scientific works, author collections, fiction, photo albums and electronic publications devoted to the Far East and the island region.

On September, 11 the results of contest "The best local history edition-2021" were announced. This year 107 works from the Far Eastern and Central regions of Russia took part in it. The Sakhalin Regional Museum publications were awarded diplomas in several nominations. 

The book "Sakhalin Resettlement Experience (1853-2002)" by V. V. Sheglov, Deputy Director for Research and Development, was named the best in the category "Science. Education - XXI century".

The work "Sakhalin Koreans: Catalogue of Collections from the Collection of the Sakhalin Regional Museum of Local Lore (1945-2018)" was awarded a Diploma of II degree in the nomination "A Small Corner of Russia". The authors-compilers: E.Kh. Kim, curator of museum objects of the 1st category, and K.Y. Cherpakova, former chief curator of the museum.

Diploma III degree in the nomination "History - a science for the future" was awarded a book by N. A. Glushkova, senior researcher of the Department of History, "Photographs of the War Years 1941-1945 in the collection of the Sakhalin Regional Museum of Local Lore. catalog. Part 1. On the Frontline.
